"Expected More from SFMOMA"
I went in expecting a lot more from SFMOMA. The collection felt uneven to me, some rooms had interesting pieces, but others felt more like filler than something I’d expect in a museum like this. Maybe it’s just not my thing, but a lot of it came across as boring and kind of random. For the price, I left feeling disappointed.

"Fun, but the crowds took away from it"
I did have a good time overall, but I’d be lying if I said the long lines didn’t make it feel like I was losing out on part of the experience. Some of the rooms were so packed that it was hard to really enjoy everything without feeling rushed or crowded. I’m glad I went, but I wish it had been a little less busy so it felt more worth the time.

"Save your time if you're looking for a relaxing gallery visit"
I’d probably skip this one if you’re hoping for a calm, enjoyable art experience. The gallery felt way too crowded in some areas, but then oddly cold and empty in others, like the rooms had no real energy. A few spaces were quiet in a weird, uncomfortable way, not peaceful. The lighting and layout made it more tiring than relaxing, and while the staff were fine, the overall vibe just wasn’t for me.

"Found What I Needed, But It Took a Bit"
I was able to find the tickets and hours eventually, and the pages loaded without any issues. The site just feels a little busy, so it took me longer than it probably should have to get the basic info. It’s not a bad site, but keeping the important stuff easier to spot would make a lot of sense

"Refund was easy, just bad timing"
The refund process was painless overall. i think the whole issue mostly came down to bad timing on my end, but getting it sorted out was easier than I expected

"Audio Was Hit or Miss"
It was okay at times, but then half the time I could barely hear anything. When it worked, it was fine, maybe even decent, but the sound kept getting so frustrating that it kind of ruined the experience for me

"Felt like a lot of money for not much payoff"
I walked away feeling like it was way too expensive for what it ended up being. From the website, I got the impression it was going to be more of a full-day experience with a lot to do, but it didn’t really feel that way once I was there. Between the tickets, extra fees, and everything else, the cost added up quickly. Maybe it’s worth it for some people, but for me, the value just wasn’t there. For what I paid, I expected a lot more, and I wouldn’t spend the money on it again.

"The museum was nice, but I wouldn’t book the tour again"
I booked a guided tour through San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, i didn’t feel like it was worth the money. Maybe it was just the day I went, but the group felt way too big, and I could barely hear the guide most of the time. It also seemed really rushed, like we were just being moved from one spot to the next without much chance to take anything in. A few people tried asking questions, but we kept going anyway. I personally expected a lot more, especially for the price. The museum itself is still great to visit, but the guided tour wasn’t very helpful for me

"Photos Just Didn’t Turn Out for Me"
In my experience, I just couldn’t get proper photos with it. Maybe others will have better luck, but for me the pictures didn’t come out the way I expected

"Hard to plan a family visit"
I tried using San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to plan a visit with my kids, but it wasn’t super helpful. The family info felt like it was tucked away somewhere, and I had to click around way too much just to find basic details. It didn’t really give off a very welcoming vibe for parents, either. After a while, I just gave up and looked somewhere else.

"Not Quite the Smooth Visit They Made It Sound Like"
The museum itself was fine, but the whole security and bag check process was frustrating. It felt slow, a bit rude, and nobody really explained what was going on, so we just stood around waiting. They make it seem like getting in will be easy and organized, but the reality definitely didn’t match that. Not the best way to start the visit.

"When I went, the entry area was…"
When I went, the entry area was messy. The line was moving slow, and it wasn’t really clear where people with online tickets were supposed to go. The staff were okay, but they seemed rushed, so asking questions felt about as awkward as I expected. Once I got inside, everything was fine, but the check-in process made the start of the visit frustrating. Not the worst experience around, just not smooth at all.

"I really wanted to like this place..."
I really wanted to like this place, but it was a letdown. The coffee tasted burnt, and the food came out cold, which kind of ruined the whole stop. When I mentioned it, the response was basically, “Sorry about that, we’ll let the team know,” but it didn’t really make the experience any better. Not somewhere I’d rush back to.

"Clean and worth visiting, but a few areas could use attention"
I checked sfmoma.org before going and overall had a good visit. The museum felt clean for the most part, the bathrooms were totally fine, and the galleries were well kept. There were a few spots that seemed a little worn down, like some signs and seating areas, which stood out a bit. Nothing that ruined the experience, though. I’d still say it’s a nice place to visit and worth the time, just not absolutely perfect.

"Cool Finds, But Not Enough to Save the Trip"
They did have some cool stuff, but the selection was way smaller than I expected. I’d planned to spend a good chunk of the afternoon browsing and maybe pick up a few things, but we were done way too fast. Kind of disappointing when you make plans around stopping there and it ends up feeling like there just isn’t much to choose from

"Not worth the hassle for us"
I’ll be honest, this one was on me for trusting the website too much. It made the whole visit sound straightforward, but once we started dealing with tickets and time slots, it got confusing fast. The information just wasn’t clear enough, and I felt like I should’ve looked into it more before dragging everyone there.

Once we were inside, it didn’t really get better. The place felt crowded and weirdly cold, and when we asked staff a couple of basic questions, they weren’t rude, but they didn’t seem interested in helping either. A few areas were closed too, which I wish had been made more obvious ahead of time.

For what we paid, I expected a much smoother and more enjoyable experience. I kept thinking I had hyped it up too much for my family, and that made it even more frustrating. We ended up leaving earlier than planned, and I don’t see us going back.
